What does it mean to support someone? How does a pcm provide support?
Recently my dad went through a very difficult time, he was so overwhelmed that he cried out to someone in his pcm, asking for prayer and help. It was 11pm on a weekday. Immediately that someone contacted another member of the pcm, who made a trip down to my house, and talked to him, prayed with him. He left my house at 2.30am. Is it not beautiful to have friends like that? To have fellow christians to be concerned and care for you? To pray with you and walk with you? My dad felt much better after that, and through this example of love in a pcm, i feel that i have something to work towards, a goal to achieve. I want to be able to care for others, and to be loved in return. Life is a difficult road, and to have a group of friends, of christians, to walk it with you, to go through thick and thin together -- is that not a beautiful thing to work towards?
